Tax Season In Full Swing-Client Letter

Happy February!

Tax season is now officially in full swing.  We have had many clients accept their TaxCaddy invitation, fill out their questionnaire, and begin uploading their 2021 tax documents.  If you have not yet done so, please accept your invitation. So far, we have had excellent feedback as to the ease of the system and the helpful live chat agents that are available to you.  It is an initial year for the two-factor authentication to be implemented at the request of the IRS, we realize a few clients have encountered some glitches when logging in, the developers are working as diligently as possible to have these glitches cleared.

We do realize the world has rapidly changed over the last two years, which is much of the reason we implemented the TaxCaddy system.  We want to deliver your tax return back to you as quickly and efficiently as possible, while providing you the ease of keeping your documents, including your tax return and estimates all in one place.

We also realize with the rapid changes that have occurred around the world, not everyone had the opportunity to quickly learn the technology required to keep up with the new online and virtual world we are all now living in.  This year I plan on making tutorials for our clients on how to use the TaxCaddy easily and efficiently, how to scan your documents, how to download and save them to your computer and how to review your tax return in a digital format.  I feel that this will not only be helpful to our clients with their tax related items, but the skills learned can be transferable to other areas of life as needed.

In the meantime, I would like to share a few links with all of you that other creators have filmed and posted on YouTube.  I provided links two different videos on scanning from either your Android or iPhone and another on the initial basics of TaxCaddy.  Please click on the links below for access to these videos.  I hope you find them helpful!

Please also note that there is a help button in TaxCaddy located at the top right of your screen.  There is also a Live Chat button available most hours of the day.  You can also directly message us in the TaxCaddy, but if you need immediate assistance and the Live Chat isn’t available, please give us a call.  I will also be putting a client letter in your TaxCaddy with written instructions on how to navigate around your Caddy and also how to download the TaxCaddy app on your phone. You can directly load documents on your phone without having to take pictures or scan!

Please remember the tax filing deadline for individual tax returns this year is April 18th.  I do not anticipate the IRS to grace us with any additional extensions of the deadline as there has been the past two years.  If you would like us to file an extension for you (extension deadline is October 15th), please let us know as soon as possible and we will get an extension filed for you.

We wish all of you a successful and healthy year!

Sincerely,

Natalie M. Elser, CPA

President
